Magnum Drywall Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ESTIMATOR to bid commercial drywall, metal stud framing and other custom specialty drywall projects

Magnum Drywall is a full-service commercial union drywall contractor centrally located in the Bay Area of Northern California. Through our expanding scopes of work and aggressive bidding we have achieved sharp growth, making the need for an experienced estimator critical.

The right person for this position must have drywall experience with project management experience and estimating experience. This ideal person will have been working in an estimating and project management role. The ability to deal with deadlines and create several estimates simultaneously is a must. The position includes and requires the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with On-Screen Take Off software and Quick Bid Proficient
• Strong math and analytical skills with an eye for detail
• Must be able to read and understand commercial and industrial blueprints
• Create take-offs from architectural drawings
• Estimate jobs with accuracy, speed and efficiency on company cost estimating system
• Thorough understanding of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project
• Knowledge and experience in commercial and industrial construction, specifically in the fields of drywall, metal stud and fireproofing
• Attend pre-bid walkthrough.
• Prepare high level quality take-offs
• Write detailed proposals
• 3+ years Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience

The successful candidate will be responsible for locating bidding opportunities, estimating drywall, fireproofing, metal stud and custom specialty work using On-Screen Take Off, preparing and sending out proposals, following up on proposals, creating new client relationships, and preparing submittal documents .
